The Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce's (SFACC) Agri-Business Division seeks to advance and promote the Sioux Empire as an agricultural center through events that provide a higher visibility of the industry and programs to enrich the economic stability of rural society and those associated with businesses involved with agriculture.

Events throughout the year that capitalize on the true purpose of the division:

The Chamber-sponsored annual Sioux Empire Livestock Show, held in conjunction with the Sioux Falls Farm Show, features the latest in agricultural technology and the top livestock from across the nation. Close to 200 volunteers come together annually to make sure the Sioux Empire Livestock Show goes off without a hitch. Contact us if you are interested in volunteering!

Each year the SFACC, in cooperation with dozens of area businesses, sponsors "Ag Appreciation Day" in which the Sioux Empire Fair Association and the Chamber offer a salute to agriculture. More than 3,000 area farmers take part in a free meal, which is served by volunteers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In 2018, the Agri-Business Division, along with several community sponsors, introduced the Division’s newest annual event, National Farmer’s Day at the Barn. Being that most farmers will be in the field on this annual, nationally recognized day (October 12), the division will continue to extend the invitation to all families and friends to stop by the free evening and allow us to share the farmer’s story. if you have eaten a meal today or are wearing clothes, farming is important to you!

The Agri-Business Division also hosts an annual awards banquet each spring to recognize the hundreds of volunteers. Retiring members of the Agri-Business Division Advisory Council are honored along with the Farm Family of the Year, the Agri-Business Citizen of the Year, the buyers at the Mayor's Round-Up and Sale of Champions, and the Outstanding Livestock Show Volunteers.
